And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil.(!) 4:7 :^)

I’m reminded of 2 Timothy, preach on brother Phil! Not ashamed, be loyal, be strong, perilous times, preach the word!

Phil I believe wholeheartedly what you are saying, but can I be honest? I am afraid. I am afraid I will drown in my own fluids or is my skin going to burn? I know it sounds crazy. I know I am a child of God. I am praying for God’s sovereign protection for America and that God will thwart putin’s plan!

It is human nature to have fears. A soldier on the front line has a fear but he is determined to defend his country and his relatives. God's soldiers (because that is what we are) need to do the same thing. We're not just holding the line though, we need to advance on the enemy, spiritually. With increased faith comes the ability to advance on the enemy. "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God."

Brother Phil, my wife and I were missionaries, in Moscow and Klin (near Moscow), from 10/1/1994 to 9/30/1999. That was during the Yeltsin era (1991 to 1999). Russia, then, had more religious freedom that the USA did, back then. The Putin era (1999 to date, as either President or Prime Minister) has been hard on the several Russian brothers and sisters, with whom we still have "Interweb" contact. Putin needs to be wise enough, to be ready to meet his Maker, one of these days. I doubt he will change. His everlasting home will be a rather hot and unpleasant location. Please, dear Lord, in your providential will, bring peace to the Ukraine and to Russia! That remains my constant prayer.

Great perspective Phil! It’s so easy to get caught up in this world and forget that our God is in control

Phil, thanks for your ministry, your words of evangelism, of encouragement and of wisdom. I'm glad you have younger men to take the reins when you become unable. People our age look to those younger to come behind and continue the work. Whenever that time may be, sooner or, hopefully later, I know there will be someone to keep this message going. I have enjoyed both the "In the Woods" and the "Unashamed" podcasts.
