Thank you Mr Phil for this reminder as it's one that I struggle with. Why is gossip so hard to resist?! Ugh. 😔 I needed that reminder to stop it before it gets a foothold as it's truly from the devil. It's not just harmless and fun, it's actually playing into the devils hands and causing our Lord sadness. I desire to have the Lord smiling as he looks down at me and not to be shaking his head in sorrow. Forgive us Lord and help us always to do better as we seek to please you. 🙏
My wife watch’s the news in the morning and I help her vacuum the house when it’s on so I don’t really pay attention to the TV. Never felt better since I quit watching it. Listen to radio when in the car and my wife would say, oh that’s what they said on tv this morning. Then I shut off the radio. Like you said Phil, if we put our heads in reading and studying the Bible, we wouldn’t have time for the media. If people who get mad listening to the news and the media, they need to open their bible and read what Job went through, even his own friends said he sinned against God, which was a lie, sounds like today doesn’t it?
Great post. I have to remind myself of this. I find when I start getting frustrated with all the blah blah blah out there I have to refocus my attention on Him. That’s the only way to have peace in this wild storm.

People should stop watching the News because they all tell lies to boost their ratings. They don’t care about who wins the election or who runs. They care only about the politicians who give them money and boost those ratings. Pray for the politicians who are following sinners and not following God. Never follow men. Follow Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Gossip is like a cancer in the Body of Christ. Thanks, Phil for the straightforward article. I would expect nothing less from you. As my grandma said, "Gossip is betrayal in sheep's clothing."
